Millions of users around the world have created accounts on the site that allow them to upload videos that anyone can watch. Every minute of every day, more than 35 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube.
YouTube’s popularity has increased significantly in the past few years, with more than 30 million daily users spending an average of 40 minutes on the platform. Owned and intensely promoted by Google, YouTube is now the world’s second largest search engine, processing about 3 billion searches every day.
